Canon EF 135mm f/2L USMThis lens is the fastest 135mm telephoto lens in its class. It’s ideal for indoor sports and portraits with background blur. Two UD-glass elements correct secondary spectrum for outstanding sharpness and color. This is a practical everyday lens that weighs nicely and feels very solid to use. It is sharp and focuses very fast. Compatible with Extender EF 1.4x II and 2x II. |

Canon EF 200mm f/2L IS USMThe EF 200mm f/2L IS USM is outstanding for many available-light applications, including indoor sports, theater work, fashion, and candids at events.
This ultra-fast telephoto, a new member of Canon legendary L-series lenses, has totally new optics to provide better image quality. It uses fluorite and UD lens elements for excellent chromatic aberration correction and consists of 17 elements in 12 groups. The built-in Optical Image Stabilizer gives it up to 4 stops of stabilization correction. |

Canon EF 85mm f/1.2L II USM
A lightweight and convenient lens that is great for everyday, multipurpose use. Image quality is quite dreamy and of all my lenses this one produces photographs with the most beautiful contrast and colors. Great for shooting either indoors or outdoors. Images are immaculately sharp, just as long as you are accurate in your focusing. For this reason it is a lens that takes some time getting used to. It is not a sports lens that can focus rapidly on the fly, so if speedy focusing is your top criteria you should look elsewhere. Finally, when shooting wide open, there can be some chromatic aberration with this lens, specifically purple and green fringes. This is especially the case when shooting a backlit subject.

Canon EF 50mm f/1.2L USM
Great to use indoor in low lighting situations, however the razor thin depth-of-field allows no margin for error. Flare is especially well controlled, which helps to deliver excellent color and contrast. When shooting wide open, there can be some chromatic aberration with this lens, specifically purple and green fringes. This is a fantastic everyday and travel lens.

Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM
This is a typical general-purpose focal range that's good for a variety of different shooting situations: from events and groups of people, to travel and landscapes. Focusing is fast, accurate and silent. However, the 24 - 70mm is the least used of all my lenses. This is just because, as a portrait photographer, I personally prefer lenses with wider maximum apertures.
Version II of course, is newer. It has been touted by almost everyone who uses it as the sharpest zoom lens. The image quality difference is subtle. |
