​I am thrilled to announce this workshop in California! Come and join me for two intense days of Fine Art Portraiture, inspiration, and creativity. This in - person workshop is limited to 5 participants. We will have children and adults as our models.

DATE:  April 7th and 8th, 2018
DURATION:  2 days

During this workshop we will cover:
  • Where to look for inspiration and ideas
  • How to choose locations and work under different light situations
  • Photography and in-camera techniques  used during the session to benefit post processing quality and final imagery results
  • Utilizing composition principles to create stronger image
  • How to achieve mood and atmosphere in photography
  • Developing of unique story with emotional output ​
  • How to work and engage with children to capture natural looking portraits.
  • Detailed sorting of captured material and selection of an "image that speaks"
  • Processing images from start to finish using only hand edits - learn my secrets without the use of actions or presets. Images processing is done using Adobe Camera Raw (Lightroom users might be able to relate ) and Photoshop CC
Participants will receive a printout with instructions on my most used Photoshop techniques, presets (ACR and Lightroom), Photoshop actions and one year subscription to the Video Library on LiliaAlvaradoiphotogarphy.com  
Please note: 
This  is not an entry level  workshop, we won't be covering basics of how to use your  DSLR camera and other equipment. Knowledge of camera's manual settings is important for this workshop. Understanding  Photoshop tools, layers and masks is highly advised. Otherwise you will likely be lost.
Recommended Equipment:
SLR Digital Camera and lenses (50mm up to 200mm)
Laptop with Photoshop, Lightroom or Adobe Camera Raw 
Wacom Tablet (optional, but highly advised)
Multiple Memory Cards 
External USB hard drive (thumb-drive or other)

Schedule: 
Day one
10:00 AM - 12:30 PM Classroom meeting and lecture 
12:30 PM - 2:00 PM lunch break 
2:00 PM  Departure to photography location
2:30 PM On location preparations
3:30 PM - to after sunset photography session 
Second day:
10 AM - 3 PM Classroom Review and Hands on Editing, lunch during break 


​Transportation to photography location will be provided. 
First day lunch & Dinner are included
Second day lunch is included

A  deposit of 50% of the workshop fee is required for registration. This fee is nonrefundable. The remaining balance must be paid 30 days prior to the workshop. All participants will be notified via email. Registrants who have not paid their remaining balance or made other arrangements by that date forfeit their spot in the workshop which may be assigned to someone on the waiting list and also will lose their deposit.  We cannot be responsible for airline tickets, travel expenses or other costs incurred by you. We highly recommend you purchase travel insurance for your workshop and travel expenses.
